ID badges for K-12 districts

One photo. Every badge, every account.

IdentMint pulls staff and student photos from Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, captures new ones by webcam, and prints CR-80 badges on the card printer you already own.

Runs in the browser on Windows, Mac, and Chromebook. Nothing to install for staff.

The problem

Badge photos live in too many places.

Photos drift apart

Picture day goes to one system, Teams shows another face, and the printed badge is three years old.

Badging is a side job

A front-office clerk retypes names into desktop software that only runs on one computer in the building.

Visitors slip through

Paper sign-in sheets and stick-on labels don't tell anyone who is actually in the building.

How it works

Capture, sync, print.

  1. Capture

Pull existing photos from Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, import the picture-day files from your school photographer, or take a new one with any webcam.

  2. Sync

IdentMint matches each photo to the right person by student or employee ID. When you turn it on, approved photos go back to Teams, Outlook, and Gmail.

  3. Print

Send badges one at a time at the front desk or a whole school at once. Templates handle staff, students, visitors, and events.

What's included

Built around the way districts already work.

Photo sources

  • Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, read-only by default
  • Google Workspace directory photos
  • Webcam capture with a crop guide
  • Picture-day import from your photographer's PSPI files
  • Single headshot upload

Badge types

  • Staff badges with role and building
  • Student IDs with barcode for lunch and library
  • Visitor badges printed at check-in
  • Event badges for pre-registered and walk-up guests
  • Bulk print by school, grade, or department

Printers

  • HID Fargo, Zebra, and Evolis card printers
  • Any card printer with a Windows or Mac driver
  • Single- and dual-sided templates
  • Standard CR-80 cards, 30 mil PVC
  • One badge at the desk or a full school run
Note

Everything except printing works on any device with a modern browser. Printing runs from a Windows or Mac computer with your card printer's driver installed, because card printer makers don't ship Chromebook drivers.

Student data

Designed for FERPA from the first line of code.

Student photos are education records. IdentMint handles them as a school official under your district's direct control, and signs your data privacy agreement.
